Rider leaderboard — speed and sessions from measured wind | The Wind Master

The Garda rider leaderboard: top speed, efficiency and hours on the water computed from GPS tracks crossed with the measured wind at the spot.

How the leaderboard is built

It is not a pure speed ranking: GPS tracks are cross-referenced with the wind actually measured at the spot at that moment. Hitting 25 knots in 30 knots of wind is not the same achievement as hitting it in 12, and the leaderboard accounts for that.

What is measured

Top speed over your best window, efficiency relative to the available wind, and hours on the water. The best window is extracted from the track itself, not from the whole session: an hour spent waiting on the beach does not count against you.

How to take part

It is opt-in — the leaderboard only shows riders who chose to appear. You upload the GPS tracks from the watch or app you already use.
